The American Exchange National Bank staff assembled with the bank's founder Hamilton M. Peyton who is in the front row with the white side burns. Peyton was bank president from 1879-1921. The bank merged with First National Bank and renamed First and American National Bank in 1929. It became First American National Bank in 1958, First National in 1974 and Norwest in 1983. In 1998 Norwest merged with Wells Fargo and elected to take the more familiar name Wells Fargo.

Fred Lounsberry Stationers office at 408-411 West First Street was at this location from 1911 to 1929. Workers include: Fred H. Lounsberry, Alice Lind, Signe Peterson, Esther Lounsberry, Edith Anderson and Ben Bredeson.

The trading floor of the original board of trade building on Superior Street. The board of trade was organized in 1881 with 12 members. The principal business was to establish prices, as most of the trading was done by commission merchants outside. This building opened January 6, 1886. It burned in 1894.

Mary Malloy Wilder interviews John Gillie about his life in Williams, Minnesota during the 20th century, his career as a mechanic, his business with his brother, businesses in Williams, and recreation.
The view is to the southeast from the north side of Front Street (now Center Avenue) just west of 4th Street North. Workers are paving Front Street with cut cedar logs which were placed on end over a fir plank base. On the corner, across the intersection, stands Ole E. Flaten's Photo Gallery. On top of the pole at the corner, a telephone lineman strings wire. Two unidentified young African American men stand in the middle of the intersection.
Interior view of the passenger depot at 606-612 on the lower side of West Superior Street was designed by C. E. Bell, Tyrie and Chapman of Minneapolis. It opened in early October 1910 and closed in the mid-1960s
