This is the annual report for the Duluth Public Schools, for the 1888-1889 school year. At this point in time Duluth owned eleven schools and was making plans for Endion School, east of Chester Creek and enrollment was double what it had been in 1885.

Fannie McGaughey was a member of the first graduating class of St. Cloud State. In addition, she was here on the first day of classes in September 1869
This photograph shows the first high school in St. Peter, which was located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Fifth and Grace streets. The front of the school faced Fifth street. It was constructed in the early 1870s.
