The authors gave an early account in the beginning of arts group in Northfield community. Starting in 1959, many local residents contributed their effort to organize events, including art fair, membership drive, classes in art studio, dance, drama, pottery class, etc. People who have involved in early years were Stuart Hunter, Mary Lou Street, Erling Larson, Ted Scott, Betty Woodruff, Gene Fox, Ed. Basquin, and Marilyn Carver.
