Three women stand at a table with a large model house displayed on it. The Oak Park Home Auxiliary raised money for the Oak Park Home, also known as the Jewish Sheltering Home for Children. The Home was a beneficiary of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, but funds for operations were always tight and fundraising was an ongoing concern.

The Minnesota Iron Company, incorporated in 1890, was engaged in underground iron ore mining on the Vermilion Range that ran between Tower and Soudan on the west and Ely and Winton on the east of the range.

This photograph shows some of the soldiers of St. Peter's Company I at an encampment in the vicinity of Red Wing in 1888. They were part of the Second Regiment of the Minnesota National Guard. Company I was formed in 1883, and was disbanded in 1893.
