Interview with Dr. Kai Hunt. Dr. Hunt was born in Shanghai, was raised in Hong Kong, and received medical education in China. Dr. Hunt immigrated to the U.S. in 1960s and then moved to Canada to join friends. He met his wife there. They moved to Alexandria, Minnesota in 1971. There were only 12 doctors in the entire community. Dr. Hunt has a family practice that also inlcudes acupuncture and psychiartry.

Studio portrait of Dr. H. Slippern who practiced medicine in Fosston, Minnesota, 1904-1909. Handwritten on the back: "Dr. Slippern, Fosston, MN. Dr. Allen Sather (Norman's father) bought Dr. Slippern's medical practice in 1909. Dr. Slippern left for Poulsbo, Wash. Died there, 1947, 84 yrs old."
Dr. Duane Thysell was born in Hawley, Minnesota in 1908. Dr. Thysell reminiscences about his 48 year career in medicine in Hawley and Moorhead between 1934 and 1981. He focuses on the activities of a rural medical practice, and how these changed over time.
