The Campbell House, between 1900 and 1963, was known as: The Boarding House, Campbell House, McDonnell's Hotel, and Green Hotel. In 1963 it was burnt by the fire department and became the site of the Mark Egan gas station. Later the Dan Patch Inn, now the Quality Inn, was built on the site on Highway 13, Savage Minnesota.
Construction began in 1965 for the Cedarvale Mall, Highway 13, Eagan, Minnesota's first major shopping center, which was enclosed. Included were a grocery, drug, hardware, shoe repair, clothing and specialty shops. In 2008 the mall was torn down and replaced by Twin Cities Premium Outlets.

On November 21, 1924 Captain A. R. Morse accidentally steered the 600-foot steam "Merton E. Farr" into the Interstate Bridge. The Interstate Bridge was the only non-railway bridge connecting Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin at that time. The Great Northern Railway, which owned the brdige, put eight barges and a crew of 100 men to work to clear the wreckage and rebuild the brdige. This image shows the efforts to rebuild the bridge seven days after the accident. Caption reads, "Broken span Dul-Sup Bridge taken from east end of open draw span 2:30 p.m. 11-28-24."

Oscar's Radiator Service and Bait Shop, owned by Oscar Wicklund, was located on Highway 13 and Vine Street (renamed Ottawa Avenue) Savage Minnesota. Originally the building was Mark Egan's Texaco and was razed between 1968-1970.
