Display area for circulating art prints and special exhibits in the Edina Community Library, a branch of the Hennepin County Library. The building, at 4701 West 50th Street, was designed by Arthur Hickey Associates Architects, was renovated in the 1990s and was used until 2002 when the library moved to its current location.

Scene on the Kakelugn depicts Jacob Fugger burning expensive spices in his fireplace during a visit by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. Charles owed Fugger for many IOUs, and Fugger said he would burn them too as there was no hope of getting repaid. Completed in 1908, the Swan J. The Sumner branch of the Minneapolis Public Library opened in 1915 in a building funded by the Andrew Carnegie Corporation. It is named for Charles Sumner, a U.S. Senator from Massachusetts and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. Before 1915, the library was located in a rented room at 901 6th Avenue North.

Steiner was one of 18 carvers hired to work on the Turnblad mansion when he was 26 years old. He carved the cherubs in the music room and the wreath over the fireplace in the dining room. Completed in 1908, the Swan J. Turnblad mansion was built in the French Chateauesque style. The house became the American Swedish Institute in 1929.
