The Princeton Area Library opened in a new building overlooking the Rum River on August 24, 1990. East Central Regional Library is a consolidated library system in Minnesota serving Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties.
The Princeton Area Library has been located in its current space downtown since 1990. Founded in 1959, ECRL is the oldest existing regional public library system in Minnesota. Headquartered in Cambridge, it is a consolidated library system with 14 libraries and Outreach Services and serves residents in Aitkin, Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Mille Lacs, and Pine counties.
Exterior view of the Rogers branch of Hennepin County Library which opened in 1980 at 21300 John Milless Drive, Rogers, Minnesota. THe building was later renovate in 2005. Library service to the Rogers area dates back to the 1950s and a book station in Ahlstrom s Hardware Store which held 400 volumes. The Hennepin County Library bookmobile served area residents in 1970-80.

Exterior view of the St. Bonifacius branch of Hennepin County Library. The fa ade of the small building is decorated with two square columns with an ornamental frieze and pediment. St. Bonifacius Library opened in 1931 in the former People s State Bank Building which was donated to the Village of St. Bonifacius for use as a library by local landowners Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Gale. The building, which was constructed in 1916, had no running water, restrooms or central heating and cooling until 1987. The library was renovated in 2006. It serves residents of St. Bonifacius, Mound, Minnetrista, Waconia and Westonka.

Sue Thue was the Sandstone Public Library Branch Librarian from 1981-2005 in Sandstone, Minnesota. Founded in 1959, ECRL is the oldest existing regional public library system in Minnesota. Exterior view of the Urjans Iverson log cabin, east and south facades. The cabin was restored in 1990. This photo documents that work. Urjans Iverson was one of the first permanent residents of Pope County. He built his first cabin from the Fort Lake Johanna stockade which was abandoned after the Civil War. The cabin was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Mount Sinai Hospital was built in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during the 1950s to address the discrimination Jewish doctors experienced admitting Jewish patients to local hospitals. The Auxiliary members promoted the work of Mount Sinai Hospital and assisted needy members of the community through volunteer service, fundraising and public relations.

East Central Regional Library's last bookmobile. Purchased in 1996 for $103,000, it was the first new bookmobile in 20 years. It was built on a Bluebird bus chassis, held 3,500 items, had an onboard generator and a lift for accessibility, and it featured an ""air ride."" The inscription on the commemorative plaque reads: "Trees planted along this parkway in the year 1939 have been named Sesquicentennial trees to commemorate the one hundred fiftieth anniversary of the first session of Congress and the Inauguration of the first president of the United States. This tree was planted by Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark as a Sesquicentennial tree April 22, 1939."
Danebo Senior Residence Sign. Danebo building started as a home for Danish seniors in 1924 and the building was later repurposed as a non-profit cultural organization known as the Danish American Center in 2005.
