Program for the 82nd annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association held September 21-23, 1977 at the Duluth Hotel, Duluth, Minnesota. The theme was "Sharing; Services and Resources." The preconference was "Sharing: Prospects for Planning and Coordinating Continuing Education Resources in Minnesota." Boat trips on Lake Superior were offered before the dinner. Speaker David Madden read selections from his novel Bijou at the dinner.

General session topics include stress management, "The Supply Side of Government Printing," "Computer Assisted Reference Services," library services to special groups, teleconferencing by satellite, occupational health and safety, and using volunteers in youth services. Special programs were provided by author Carol Bly and musicians John Berquist and Janet Carlson.

The MLA Awards Banquet featured speaker Joel Barker, Northern State Power Company on the topic of "New Dawn for Libraries - Some Possibilities for the Next 25 Years."

The conference featured a Minitex/OCLC Users Group. General Session topics include "Looking to the 80;s in the Publisher's World," "With the Minnesota Delegation at the White House Conference," and "Capitol Hill Perspectives." Randall Tigue, President of the Minnesota Civil Liberties Union, spoke at the conference dinner of the topic "Everyone's Right to Read."

Program for the 91st annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) held on April 16-18, 1986 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The theme for the conference was "Business is Our Business." General session topics include business information resources, "Personality Type and Job Satisfaction," library resource preservation, government secrecy, government budget cuts and library budgets, the information needs of business students, and grant writing. A musical parody "Inforama!" was performed by MLA members on the evening of April 17 and the program for the musical performance is inserted in the conference program.
The declaration of two amendments from 1906 to the constitution of the Minnesota Library Association, one indicating that boards become MLA members with $2.00 initial payment and $1.00 annual payment, and a second amendment calling for the creation of sections (e.g. trustees or college libraries) within the organization that have a place on the annual program.
