Marion Model K steam shovel with a two and a half cubic yard dipper working along side a 25 ton wooden ore car for the Oliver Iron Mining Company in the open pit Mountain Iron mine.

On October 22, 1920 this Hibbing, Minnesota hotel was ready to relocate. A newspaper account on January 5, 1921 informed readers the hotel was a $19,000 loss for the joint owners when it collapsed January 4, 1921. The hotel was being moved from "old" Hibbing to "new" Hibbing and skidded from the moving trucks.

A parade lines up on Superior Street. Mrs. Marie C. Seibold had a shop and residence at 225 East Superior Street. Originally selling tobacco, cigars, and confectionary, Mrs. Seibold later operated an employment office. The newly completed First Presbyterian Church at East 2nd Street and 3rd Avenue East is visible in the background.

Naniboujou Club or Naniboujou Lodge in Cook County Minnesota near Grand Marais that comprises about 3,300 acres about 125 miles from Duluth about 15 miles from the Pigeon river was opening to many notables. Invitations were sent to 800 members, in July 1929. It never grew as expected due to the 1929 crash. It still stands. It is a lodge with a dining room right on the lake.

National Iron Company was at Fiftieth Avenue West and Ramsey Street. From 1898, it designed and manufactured heavy machinery and structural steel. It employed 190 workers in 1916 with a payroll of $96,000.
