The drawings show the north, south, east and west elevations of the building, longitudinal and transverse sections, foundation, first, second, third floors, attic and roof, and detail of the front side of the building and its main entrance. Designed by state architect Clarence H. Johnston (1859-1936), Lawrence Hall, which was named for faculty member and acting president Isabel Lawrence, opened in the fall of 1905 as a women's dormitory. The building was extensively renovated in 2003. It replaced the first Lawrence Hall, which was built in 1885 and destroyed by fire in January 1905.
