Clara Swanson recalls: C.A. Swanson bought half interest in the Rogers Hotel with Dr. Fjelstad in 1914. Mr. Swanson started the bakery in the basement of the hotel. Art Malmberg, in the window, was the bookkeeper.

Glenwood High School main entrance and auditorium was part of the 1936 expansion of the high school designed by Nairne W. Fisher. This photograph from the late 1970s shows replacement windows.
