Notes from the 12th annual conference of the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) held on October 27-28 in Mankato, Minnesota. Mr. C. E. Wise, president of the Mankato Library Board, provided the welcoming address. Presentations were given on the topics of reference service in small libraries, county extension of library services in rural areas, reading for children, a report from the Committee on State Documents, and conducting a library on $1000 a year.
