- Volume 2, number 2 of the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) Peddler was published in May 1940. Editor-in-chief of this issue was Mary C. Baker from Duluth Public Library. This issue contains information on the American Library Association (ALA) meeting in Cinncinnati from May 26-June 1 of that year, including a Minnesota Alumni Breakfast and a Junior Member Round Table (JMRT) exhibit, Arrowhead Library Association meeting announcement, Minneapolis Library endowment fund announcement, stags annual outing announcement, local indexes project, reference questions, miscellaneous news briefs about Minnesota librarians, Minneapolis book club, children's memorial library, new branches and stations, and the tentative program for the MLA Convention from October 20-23, 1940. The M.L.A Peddler was created and conceived by the Junior members of the Minnesota Library Association. The first issue states ""...[The] Peddler will bring you bits of personal gossip, news about library enterprises, [and] matters of friendly interest.""
