This circa 1920s map of the Lake Superior International Highway between Duluth, Minnesota, United States, and Port Arthur and Fort William, Ontario, Canada, provides brief descriptions of towns and geographic features along the route, including Two Harbors, Silver Creek Cliff, Lutsen, Grand Marais, and Kakabeka Falls. The map includes photographs of sites such as Split Rock Lighthouse, Cross River, Arrowhead River, the Port Arthur Hotel, and Mt. McKay.

Ernest Oberholtzer used this tourist information map for planning purposes, likely while serving in his role as head of the Quetico-Superior Council. He is educating about the impact of a proposed federal forest extension and noting sections necessary to be added to the national forest. Crayon-colored areas are shaded for designated forests: green = federal forest, blue = state forest, red = outline of proposed forest extension, and gray = necessary to be added to Superior National Forest under Quetico-Superior Council Program, now not included in federal proposal.
This folded brochure features advertisements for local businesses, including their addresses and phone numbers. It also has three maps: Downtown Minneapolis, the Twin Cities, and Minneapolis and Suburban Areas.
