The Nicollet Hotel Bar, the Seitzer Ford automobile dealership, and a part of the Ludcke Theater can be seen behind the snow that has been removed from the avenue.

The Red Owl grocery store can be seen in the Masonic Hall building, and the Nicollet County Bank is visible at the far right. Large mounds of snow can be seen between the avenue and the stores.

This West Duluth Street view at Central Avenue and Bristol street shows the building where the Purity Store operated as well as other business signs. It is an example of Romanesque architecture. The view includes men, boys, children, a truck, snow. It is a winter view of the business district. The building was constructed in 1889, and it was razed in 1976. Note the fire escape.

This is an original picture, taken by Wilize (?) at the time, showing the ruins of Gladstone Hall, Red Wing, after the building had collapsed under the heft of 3 or 4 feet of heavy snow. The picture was gotten from W. S. Scott, Red Wing, Minn., in June, 1933. Note that Bush Street is covered and completely blockaded by stone and snow. (B. Eide)
