Kiehle was opened in 1952 as St. Cloud State's first building built as a library. It served as the campus library until 1971. Since 1974, Kiehle has served as home to the Department of Art.
A bulletin of the General and Medical Secretarial courses offered at Rochester Junior College in 1947-1948. Recent graduates from both programs are also listed.
Harriet Gilman, born and raised in Sauk Centre, attended State Normal School in Winona, Minnesota. After graduation, she returned to Sauk Centre and became a teacher at the Sauk Centre Public School until 1906.

Lawrence Hall, named after long-time faculty member Isabel Lawrence, opened in 1905 as a dormitory for women. It replaced the first Lawrence Hall after a fire destroyed it in early 1905.
Exterior view from street of Mitchell Hall. Mitchell Hall was completed in 1958 as a dormitory for women. The building was named for William B. Mitchell, who served as St. Cloud State's resident director from 1877 to 1901.
Student standing outside of the Counseling Center in "B Building." Opened in 1947 to help alleviate overcrowding in classrooms, the "B Building" stood between Riverview and the Mississippi River.

After Pearl Harbor both girls were interned with their families at relocation centers on the west coast. They taught Japanese children at these centers until they reached permission from the U.S. Government to attend school at St. Cloud State. The Japanese girls are enjoying a little snack after their performance with the Cecilian Glee Club of which they were members. Ardith Burrell is president of the club.
