The authors gave an early account in the beginning of arts group in Northfield community. Starting in 1959, many local residents contributed their effort to organize events, including art fair, membership drive, classes in art studio, dance, drama, pottery class, etc. People who have involved in early years were Stuart Hunter, Mary Lou Street, Erling Larson, Ted Scott, Betty Woodruff, Gene Fox, Ed. Basquin, and Marilyn Carver.
This brief biography of an historic building in Northfield traces its many different uses - Formerly the Y.M.C.A. Building, the Community Building, the City Hall - culminating in the transformation into the home of the Arts Guild. Written by Kirk Jeffrey, a Carleton history professor, it is an authoritative and well-written account of a beloved building.

This application was presented to the Minnesota State Board for Vocational Education to approve the creation of the Suburban Hennepin County Area Vocational-Technical School. The application consists of a copy of the Intent to Participate contract for each involved school district; a listing of schools participating in the planning; a Memorandum of Agreement to particpate in the school planning process; budget documents; meeting minutes; a list of school board members; biographical data sheets on each board member; bylaws of the school board; and recruitment brochure for a superintendent of the new school.
The collection of one map and 25 forms is an inventory of 25 wayside parks and rest areas located in Hennepin, Anoka, Sherburne, Scott, Carver, and Wright Counties. One or two black and white photos (7 x 9.5 cm) are glued to each form / page.
