Envelope that contained the Press Release from the United states Air Service Command about Corporal Joe P. Burmis's activities in England as a vehicle mechanic.
The document is dated October 1, 1938 and contains 60 trivia questions and answers relating to Minnesota public and academic libraries, education, and the Minnesota Library Association.
Promissory note for $2,300 payable to James A. Pearce from the Swedish Mission Church of West Duluth. On the back are cancelled revenue stamps, with the date federal tax was paid on the document.
This is a handwritten table of how many Macalester students or former students served in World War I according to rank and military division (Army, Navy, etc.). Oct. 30, 1918 is stamped near the bottom of the document. The table appears to be written on the back of a piece of stationary from The Rogers (Hotel?) at Nicollet and 4th Street in Minneapolis, Minn.

Gustavus Adolphus College senior thesis, "Why Do Free Citizens Endorse Socialism?", handwritten by Adolph O. Eberhart in 1895 and submitted in fulfillment of a requirement for the Bachelor of Arts Degree. The content of the essay, written in English, reflects political questions of the time and is an articulately-written discussion. It was included in the commencement ceremony held on May 23, 1895 as the "Oration with Valedictory". Adolph O. Eberhart served in various public offices, then as elected representative in the Minnesota Legislature 1902 - 1905, Lieutenant Governor 1906 - 1909, and Governor 1909 -1914.
