The poster states the food is "a scientific blending of wheat, barley and rye, this is very easy to digest. It restores tired nerves, overworked brain and impaired digestion. It give rich blood, stronger nerves, enduring muscles and long life." International Stock Food Company was owned by Marion Savage, a Minnesota-based entrepreneur for whom the town of Savage, Minnesota, was named. Savage bought record-breaking harness race horse Dan Patch to help promote his business.
