Harriet Gilman, born and raised in Sauk Centre, attended State Normal School in Winona, Minnesota. After graduation, she returned to Sauk Centre and became a teacher at the Sauk Centre Public School until 1906.
1890 Graduates of Sauk Centre High School. Graduates listed are Henry Capser, Bird Ship, John Boobar, Edith Law, Mame Toby, Belle Bruce, and Sid Betman.
Howard M. Quigley was the seventh superintendent of the Minnesota School for the Deaf, and served during 1945-1966. He obtained a M.A. degree from the Normal Department at Gallaudet College.

Dr. Jonathan Lovejoy Noyes was the second superintendent of the Minnesota Institute for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind, and served during 1866-1896. His signature is printed as "J.L. Noyes" in cursive script below the picture. The school's name changed from "Minnesota Institute for the Deaf, Dumb and Blind" to "Minnesota Institute for Defectives (Deaf, Blind, and Feeble-Minded)" during his administration.

Louis C. Tuck (1851-1949) was a graduate of the American School for the Deaf in Connecticut where he studied under Laurent Clerc, and a graduate of National Deaf-Mute College (later renamed Gallaudet College) in 1870. He was a teacher and librarian at the Minnesota School for the Deaf during 1882-1922, and served as librarian until 1933.

Savre taught at the Glenwood Academy and Luther College, was editor of the Glenwood Herald, served over 30 years on the Glenwood High School Board of EduCation, served 10 years as president of the Pope County Historical Society among many other community boosting activities.
