A group of workers and drillers inside tunnel of Root River Power and Light Company's Brightsdale Electric generating plant three miles north of Lanesboro; tunnel was dynamited through a quarter mile of solid rock primarily by a crew of 300 Bulgarians who specialized in that task and lived in bunkhouses on site.

Booklet describing and summarizing a 1945 survey of Duluth employers and women employees in local manufacturing, transportation, retail and wholesale businesses, laundries, hotels, and restaurants to gather information about the workplace experiences and needs of women entering the blue-collar work force after World War II. Survey questions also addressed needs outside of work and attitudes toward unions and racial minorities.
Pairs of men march down the center of the street, rounding the corner with the "The Headlight" saloon at the intersection of Cedar Street and First Avenue. Each man is carrying an American Flag or small shovel. Eugene LaForce was the Proprieter of The Headlight.
Lerman Family history; Lerman's work in the US Post Office and the railroads; getting into law school at the University of Minnesota and his many years of legal practice as a labor lawyer. Lerman was also involved with the St. Paul Workman's Circle, and discusses labor-related activities in the St. Paul Jewish community, including Labor-Zionism.
