The 2018 annual meeting of the Minnesota Academy of Science took place at the University of St. Thomas on April 21, 2018. This program shows 80+ scientific talks, breakout sessions and posters, ranging from a new oxazolidinone antimicrobial agent synthesis to the impact of bark-foraging bird behavior on the emerald ash borer. The keynote by Dr. Christy Haynes discussed sustainable engineered nanomaterials, and the conference events included a tour of the University of St. Thomas's Medicinal Garden. Program for the Grand Opening of the Rondo Commemorative Plaza, held on July 14, 2018. The program is split into two parts, the Opening Ceremony Program and the Community Celebration Program. The Opening Ceremony included music, a call to order, an opening prayer, welcome, remarks, letters of proclamation, benediction, ribbon cutting, and plaza tours. The Community Celebration included music, dancers, poetry, and book excerpts.
The 2019 annual meeting of the Minnesota Academy of Science took place at Century College on April 27, 2019. This program shows 70+ scientific talks, breakout sessions and posters, ranging from unconscious bias in science to a study of methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus in a campus population. The keynote by Dr. Jo Handelsman was ""Tiny Earth Network: Studentsourcing Antibiotic Discovery,"" and a special conference event was a tour of the Fab Lab and 3D Bioprinting Program. The 2021 annual meeting of the Minnesota Academy of Science was held virtually, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on April 24, 2021. This program shows 40+ scientific talks and breakout sessions, ranging from �Influence of Heavy Alcohol Exposure on the Chronic Pain Mechanism� to reproducibility as vital for the responsible conduct of research. This program shows 70+ scientific talks, breakout sessions and posters, ranging from caprylic acid effects on male rat spermatogenesis to detection of lead and phosphates in tap water. The keynote by Dr. John Banovetz was "Achieving your Sustainability Goals for an Industrial Company," and a special conference event was a tour of the Renewable Energy & Environmental Research Laboratory.
