A group of people are standing on the platform at the Hendricks Minnesota railroad depot waiting for the train. They are leaving for Norway. The people are dressed up in hat and suits, and long dresses. Along with the travelers are several other people. Among the travelers are Mr. and Mrs. P. Bogen, Mr. and Mrs. Arnt Hinsvark and Mr. Peder Kvernmoe.
This panoramic picture of the Danebod Folk School (founded in 1888) and surrounding buildings shows people attending the 25th anniversary celebration. Buildings identified (left to right) are: 1) Wooden school-8 grades; 2) Stone Hall built by Kristin Klink, first person to be buried in cemetary; 3) Snack stand; 4) Stone commemorating founder H.J. Pederson; 5) Wooden folk school, which burned shortly after and was replaced by a brick building.
The Saetesdalslaget Society was founded in 1909, by people who had emmigrated from the Setesdal valley or district in Norway. They held national conventions. This photograph captured attendees at a gathering held in McIntosh, Minnesota, June 13-14, 1912.

Director Högberg and his wife are riding in a carriage drawn by a team of white horses, with Professor Kilander in the front seat. Onlookers and an automobile are also shown. The Swedish band visited Saint Peter in 1908. The original caption on the card's front is written in Swedish: "Direktör och fru Högberg (Prof. Kilander i framsätet)" On the back are the initials E.A.A. and the nickname "Fickle".
Ole Rølvaag sent a postcard to his mother-in-law Karen Berdahl in Garretson, South Dakota shortly after the birth of their first child, Olaf Arnljot Rølvaag.
Caption on the back of the postcard reads: "Left to right: Rev. N.P. Xavier, Mrs. N.P. Xavier, Mrs. Christian M. Lunde, Mrs. Ole P. Homier, Ole P. Hoimyr." Mrs. Xavier and Mrs. Lunde were sisters; Rev. Xavier and Mrs. Hoimyr were siblings. Rev. Xavier was the first resident pastor of Ft. Ridgely and Dale Lutheran church, serving from 1876 to 1891. Nils Xavier was a Sami pastor.
