This is an original plat of Olmsted County with many handwritten notes and drawings showing early Minnesota settlers, farmers and other town landscape features. This map is the earliest documentation we have found in our collection of the farms, towns, and topography of Olmsted County, Minnesota.
Photos and text including tourist information on the alternate side of a tourism map shows locations of resorts and lodges, hotels, and eating places along the North Shore, on the Gunflint Trail and in the border country of the Arrowhead region.

The company transferred the property to the city with the intent of preserving the property�s natural beauty and restricting it from commercial development. The property is located directly across the St. Croix River from downtown Stillwater.
