Clara Swanson recalls: This is one of the large bakery trucks and the small advertising trucks. The advertising truck would hand out small sample loaves of bread to children.

Clara Swanson recalls: C.A. Swanson bought half interest in the Rogers Hotel with Dr. Fjelstad in 1914. Mr. Swanson started the bakery in the basement of the hotel. Art Malmberg, in the window, was the bookkeeper.
