View of tents of the First Minnesota Regimentin a field. The First Minnesota Regiment was the first voluntary infantry regiment to serve in the Union Army during the Civil War. The camp shown was located between Poolesville, Maryland and Edward's Ferry on the Potomac River near the site of the Battle of Ball's Bluff, which was on October 21, 1861.

July 1872, Volume 1, Number 1 of Cross and Crown, a "monthly paper devoted to the advancement of higher education and the interests of Jesus College." The four pages include articles on the two earliest church bells in St. Paul, the origin and object of Jesus College, and the announcement for the 1872 academic year. It includes an image of the College's building at St. Anthony Falls.

This is a letter dated August 26, 1917 sent to Roy DeWitt Wallace. The letter, on Saint Paul Association letterhead, invites, "Saint Paul's representatives in the new national army" to a Military Parade and Demonstration taking place Friday, August 31, 1917 in downtown Saint Paul.
