Annual Report of the Employees' Mutual Benefit Association of Minneapolis Street Railway Company, The Saint Paul City Railway Company, The Minneapolis and St. Paul Suburban Railroad Company, The Minnetonka and White Bear Navigation Company; also know as the Twin City Rapid Transit Company. Report includes income and disbursements of association. Distribution of disbursements by geographic district and the duration and number of disability cases. The number of members who called on association physicians and the names of the station physicians is in the report. Also the names of employees that died and the life insurance paid to their survivors is listed at the end of the report.

Diary of Sgt. Philip Olson who served in World War I with the 25th Regiment Engineers, United States Army. After his enlistment, he departed New York for France on October 31, 1917, aboard the transport ship Agamemnon. The journey was eventful due to fears about German U-boats, and an accident which involved their ship being rammed. Upon arrival in France, Olson took part in a number of projects including the building of a docks and doing engineering at the front in Verdun. In addition, he had various duties including working for the supply sergeant, warehouse work, and distributing kits through camp. These duties were performed in a number of locations in France including Brest, Bordeaux, Verdun, and Paris. At the close of the war, Olson took a trip to Monaco and Monte Carlo. After the signing of the Armistice in November 1918, Olson stayed for a time in France. During this time, he and the 25th Engineers aided in construction and rebuilding projects. In March of 1919, Olson returned to the United States by way of New York.

The report includes consolidated earnings statement, balance sheets, and lists the names of the officers and directors. A summary of electrical power plant equipment with a map of the territory served by Northern States Power and narrative descriptions of the physical properties is also included.

The function of the City Plan of Minneapolis is the logical completion of the existing system." This map corresponds with the published book, Plan of Minneapolis, prepared under the direction of the Civic commission, MCMXVII, by Edward H. Bennett, architect, 227 pages, 1917.

Program for Minneapolis Municipal Band Concert at Lake Harriet Roof Garden, with a variety of musical selections on Wednesday August 9, Thursday August 10. Friday August 11, and Saturday August 12. Most notable was the Last Opera Concert of the Season, with full chorus and orchestra performing excerpts from "Aida" and "Faust." The Minneapolis Municipal Band was directed by Joseph Sainton. Includes illustration of boats on Lake Harriet and full page ad for Gold Medal Flour.
