Bridgeman-Russell was founded in 1888, and incorporated in 1903 by Duluthian Henry Bridgeman. Newell Francis Russell was born on a farm near Rush City, Minnesota in 1869. There were a number of Bridgeman ice cream stores in Duluth. This building is at 16 West First Street.

Vine Street (renamed Ottawa Avenue) looking toward Burns Street (renamed 124th Street West) Savage, Minnesota. Businesses shown include Savage Auto Parts (in the Riley Building), the Savage Cafe, the new Post Office, Dan Patch Bowling Lanes and Norm's Watch and Clock Repair. Del Stelling worked as a newspaper reporter and photographer, covering Savage, Burnsville, Eagan and other areas of Dakota County, Minnesota from 1959 - 1984.

Main Street in Crosby, Minnesota, had many businesses. On the left can be seen Bon Ton Cafe, Crosby Theater and a motel. On the right are Keely Drug, Anderson Taylor Shop, Smith's Variety, a bar and a hardware store.
Located at 319 South Minnesota Avenue in St. Peter, Minnesota, Peterson Brothers Billiards and Bowling was in existence for many years. Residents remember a large sign in the shape of a bowling pin attached to the front of the building.
