This is an original plat of Olmsted County with many handwritten notes and drawings showing early Minnesota settlers, farmers and other town landscape features. This map is the earliest documentation we have found in our collection of the farms, towns, and topography of Olmsted County, Minnesota.

Plat book of Sherburne County, Minnesota and Benton County, Minnesota. The two plat books are bound in one volume. Front and back hard covers serve as title cover for the respective county. There is a title page for each county which includes the subtitle "Compiled from County Records and Actual Surveys." 27 pages of color maps for each county, including townships, villages and cities. A miscellaneous section includes county and state maps, patron directory, and road laws of various states.
