Portrait of Kermit A. Olson. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a major in horticultural science. Following graduation, he became superintendent of the Soil Conservation Service Nursery at Winona. After four years of military service during World War II�in the South Pacific with the 303rd Air Force�he served as the landscape consultant for the Veteran�s Administration, and the manager of the Grandview Seed Store in Edina, the Farm Store in Excelsior, and the Danish Seed Store in Minneapolis. At the time of his death, he was head horticulturist at the Veteran�s Administration Hospital in Minneapolis.

A tall-tale postcard showing horses pulling wagons loaded with oversized potatoes and corn. A man sits atop the lead wagon and holds the reins. Tall-tale postcards use photographic montage to create images of oversized produce and animals. Fruits, vegetables and fish are the most common subjects.
The smaller wagon next to the tractor collects the grain after it is run through the threshing machine. The threshing machine separates the grain from the straw, much like today's combine.
A farm building at the Walter and Rose Kennelly farm. This farm later belonged to Joe Kennelly. Located on Highway 13 in Burnsville, it stood 1905 - 1994.
Built in 1880 the Savage Minnesota Railroad Depot closed in 1970. During 1973 the Depot, without the outhouse, was purchased and moved to Murphy's Landing in Shakopee Minnesota. In 2005 the City of Savage, Minnesota repurchased the building and returned it to Savage's Town Square, across the road from its original location. Del Stelling worked as a newspaper reporter and photographer, covering Savage, Burnsville, Eagan and other areas of Dakota County, Minnesota from 1959 - 1984.

Farmer John P. Turner is feeding his pigs in a large pen adjacent to the barn. Turner came to Nicollet County in 1870 from Vasa. After farming in various locations, he moved to Lower Oshawa Township in 1892.

President Calvin Coolidge is in the lower center of the Photograph holding a basket of Latham raspberries which was presented to him as a token of appreciation. Photograph was taken in Superior, Wisconsin in front of the high school which served as the Executive Office in the summer of 1928, when the summer White House was located on the nearby Brule River.
