This colorized postcard shows the flooded road east of the Broadway bridge in St. Peter on June 25, 1908. The water of the Minnesota River has reached the Omaha Depot, which is shown in the center of the postcard. A steam locomotive is visible to the left of the depot.
Two boats are pulling up to the docks on Lake Hendricks. A rowboat is filled with men, women and children. The Lady Hendricks is filled with people to the point she is almost sinking. The smoke stack of the boat is pushing out smoke. Several people and a tent are in the back ground. All people are celebrating the 4th of July.

This postcard shows a rushing creek lined with trees. It was sent to Miss Lydia Olson, Rock Island, Ill. The front reads, "Heartiest- greetings to yourself and your sisters, and a thousand thanks for the pretty, sweet valentine, which I received and ought to have acknowledged long ago. Hope that you are enjoying the summer very much. I will stay here probably through July, and then go away for a month. Lovingly, Inez"

An outcropping of Greenstone rock is located in Ely. Greenstone is one of the olest known Minnesota rocks and it is located just a few blocks off Camp Street in Ely, Minnesota.It is called Pillow Rock because of the clearly visible rounded shapes formed within this mass of lava flow. An effort has been underway to remove Pillow Rock to a location more accessible to tourists.

The Zachris P. Hedberg family home in St. Peter is shown at the far left in this winter scene. The house is located on the southwest corner of the intersection of Fourth and Locust Streets. Fourth Street runs from the southwest to the northeast, starting from the lower left corner of the postcard.

Trees along the shoreline lean toward the calm water of what appears to be Deephaven Bay, postmarked and dated 1910. This is one of the most common postcard views on Lake Minnetonka.
