The Opening Ceremony included music, a call to order, an opening prayer, welcome, remarks, letters of proclamation, benediction, ribbon cutting, and plaza tours. The Community Celebration included music, dancers, poetry, and book excerpts.

Three angels and four pairs of wings are arranged in the form of a Christmas tree with a gold star applied at the top.

St. Louis County is the only Minnesota county that funds work for the blind, and Duluth is the only city with a local State office. This report chronicles the work done by the agency in 1930. That year, towel hemming was added as a new project for clients within the Home Department. Yards of toweling was cut by volunteers and hemmed by blind women in their homes. This agency operated under the State Department for the Blind, Children's Bureau, Board of Control and the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners. Its work was for the prevention of blindness and treatment of people with blindness. The reports give objectives, staff, and statistics. Its district included St. Louis, Carlton, Itasca, Cook, and Lake counties, and the Cass Lake Indian Agency District.

Hilma Berglund created this card in 1955 on blue paper. It contains both text and a woven sample. The actual card is 34 x 5 cm and when folded fits into a handmade envelope which is 18 x 5.5 cm. The card is printed with purple ink on blue paper. The swatch warp is of multicolor linen and lurex threads, woven with lurex weft. The 2.5 x 2.5 cm swatch is plain weave.

The draft charter, "A Bill for an act of the Minnesota legislature to create a corporate body with the name and style of The Minnesota Academy of Science, is from around 1903, 30 years after its 1873 founding as the Minnesota Academy of Natural Sciences. Signers include Alexander Ramsey and Academy founder N.H. Winchell. Ex-officio members were listed as "the presidents of the Normal Schools at Mankato, Winona, St. Cloud, Moorhead, and Duluth, and the president of the University of Minnesota."

Resolution dated December 17, 1929 authorizing the City of Stillwater to make and deliver a release of certain property for highway purpose to St. Croix County, Wisconsin.
This typed and annotated document is labeled as the "First Constitution of the Minnesota Academy of Science," thus presumably around the 1933 refounding (cf., the 1873 founding constitution of the Minnesota Academy of Natural Sciences). Article II states that, "The object of the Academy shall be the promotion of the sciences through an organization of scientists resident in the State of Minnesota." Provision is made for officers, committees and meetings, "taking into account the state wide nature of the organization." The By-Laws set the annual dues as two dollars for each active member and one dollar for each associate member.�
