A view of the city of St. Paul, Minnesota, as it appeared in 1857. Included in this photo is the old State Capitol building. This image is by Arthur Adams, Minneapolis high school teacher, local historian, and photographer. Adams traveled throughout Minnesota, taking photographs to augment his lectures. His studio was located at 3648 Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis.

This one-and-a-half-story, rectangular-shaped frame house was built on a different site circa 1900 at 451 Everett Street North in Stillwater, Minnesota. . This house is a successful example of historic preservation in Stillwater, as the dwelling was relocated instead of being demolished and the style, form, and material of the house fit in with the Sabbin's Addition neighborhood.

Exhibit of artifacts from Varmland displayed in the Turnblad mansion dressing room. Completed in 1908, the Swan J. Turnblad mansion was built in the French Chateauesque style. The house became the American Swedish Institute in 1929.
Exterior view of the Urjans Iverson log cabin, east and south facades. The cabin was restored in 1990. This photo documents that work. Urjans Iverson was one of the first permanent residents of Pope County. He built his first cabin from the Fort Lake Johanna stockade which was abandoned after the Civil War. The cabin was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
