Gustavus Adolphus College senior thesis, "Why Do Free Citizens Endorse Socialism?", handwritten by Adolph O. Eberhart in 1895 and submitted in fulfillment of a requirement for the Bachelor of Arts Degree. The content of the essay, written in English, reflects political questions of the time and is an articulately-written discussion. It was included in the commencement ceremony held on May 23, 1895 as the "Oration with Valedictory". Adolph O. Eberhart served in various public offices, then as elected representative in the Minnesota Legislature 1902 - 1905, Lieutenant Governor 1906 - 1909, and Governor 1909 -1914.
These are the handwritten first Rules of Court for the Minnesota Territory, as recorded by Harvey Wilson, District Court clerk in Stillwater, St. Croix County, Minnesota Territory on August 13, 1849.
The authors gave an early account in the beginning of arts group in Northfield community. Starting in 1959, many local residents contributed their effort to organize events, including art fair, membership drive, classes in art studio, dance, drama, pottery class, etc. People who have involved in early years were Stuart Hunter, Mary Lou Street, Erling Larson, Ted Scott, Betty Woodruff, Gene Fox, Ed. Basquin, and Marilyn Carver.

Includes copies of the letter used by the MLA Exhibits Chairman, applications for exhibits space, a map of the exhibit area in the conference center, and a thank-you letter sent to exhibitors.
The collection of one map and 25 forms is an inventory of 25 wayside parks and rest areas located in Hennepin, Anoka, Sherburne, Scott, Carver, and Wright Counties. One or two black and white photos (7 x 9.5 cm) are glued to each form / page.
