The third annual report of the Park Commissioners for the city of Minneapolis describes the ten parks and parkways under its care. Included in this report is an argument for public attention to the planting of trees throughout the city, and the commitment of the Board to planting trees in the parks and boulevards under its control, along with data on the numbers and varieties planted. When the Minnesota legislature created the Minneapolis Board of Park Commissioners in 1883, it required the board to produce an annual report. These reports, which came to be highly prized by libraries and park advocates across the country, provide a vivid and detailed account of the development of one of the world's leading urban park systems. This report references "Lake Calhoun," a Minneapolis lake now known as Bde Maka Ska, the Dakota language for "White Earth Lake."

Beginning in April 1865, the members of the St. Peter School Board kept minutes of their meetings in this ledger. The minutes provide information about the teachers, principals, and superintendents who were employed in the St. Peter school system. Records of expenses and details concerning the planning and construction of new schools can also be found. This ledger ends in June of 1899. The Nicollet County Historical Society has the next two ledgers in its collection, making records through 1944 available to researchers. Of particular interest in this ledger are the names of three men on the first page who served as governors of Minnesota. They are: Henry A. Swift (governor from July 10, 1863, to January 11, 1864), Horace Austin (governor from January 9, 1870 to January 7, 1874), and Andrew R. McGill (governor from January 5, 1887, to January 9, 1889).
The Stillwater Library Association Treasurer's Book contains the financial records of the Stillwater Library Association including lending receipts, private donations from individuals and businesses, fundraising, the librarian�s salary, expenditures for books and day to day operating expenses.
The Stillwater Library Association's handwritten record book includes detailed meeting minutes from 1870 - 1896. Elections of officers, fundraising events, finances, book acquisitions, membership lists and day to day library business transactions are meticuluosly recorded.

The Record of Plymouth Congregational Church Volume 2 is the second of nine volumes that provide a chronological record of the activities of Plymouth Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Contents include announcements, celebrations and events, membership records, meeting minutes, a few newspaper clippings, and some photos. The Clerk of the church maintained the Record. Church officers include persons active in the civic and business life of Minneapolis.
Records of children admitted to the orphanage between 1886 and 1904. Most entries include child's name, age, nationality, date of admission, conditions of admission, and date dismissed.
Pence Opera House Programme for March 22 to 29, 1886, performance of "Uncle Tom's Cabin." Program lists cast, order of acts, and announces reopening of Pence Opera House, and theater staff. Includes advertisements for many Minneapolis businesses, with illustrations.

Original will of Jane T. Harrison, co-founder of the Jones-Harrison Residence, which was established in 1888 by the Woman's Christian Association. The Jones-Harrison Residenced is believed to be Minnesota's longest continuously operating home to seniors.
