The Carleton College weather diaries were created during the period of 1901-12-02 to 1902-08-30. Using a hand-crafted weather logbook with 6-day entries, Carleton students, faculty, and staff recorded temperature, weather condition, precipitation for the station located at Carleton's Goodsell Observatory.

Large black and white portrait of the original Concordia Society board. The photograph features sixteen finely dressed women posed in three rows. None of the women are identified.
Marion Daniel Shutter came to Minneapolis in 1881 to serve as minister of Olivet Baptist, now University Baptist Church. He left the denomination after 5 years and became assistant to Dr. James H. Tuttle at the Universalist Church of the Redeemer. On Tuttle's retirement, Shutter became pastor there in 1891 and served until his death in 1939. Shutter was a founder of Unity House, the oldest settlement house in Minneapolis. He aided in the establishment of public playgrounds in Minneapolis and served as the Chairman of the Minneapolis Vice Commission in 1911. He was president of the Minneapolis Charter Commission and edited and contributed to histories of Minneapolis and Minnesota. Booker T. Washington was Principal of Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute. In the letter, sent from the Grand Union Hotel in New York City on October 17, 1901, Washington refers to a previous visit to Reverend Shutter's church. Whether Washington was able to arrange another visit is unknown.
Monthly meeting minutes that include committee and annual reports, also contains reports and photographs. Written in Swedish. The Concordia Society was a benevolent women's society organized October 17, 1901, at the Swedish Hospital of Minneapolis. The Concordia Society was primarily dedicated to providing free beds and of other services to persons in need of medical care. These documents are in Swedish, the official language of the Hospital in its early years. The Swedish Hospital was run by and for Swedish immigrants.

In 1901, the number of organizations such as churches, societies and institutions that cooperated with Associated Charities increased to 119. Associated Charities continued to run an Employment Bureau and 7,833 odd jobs were found for men and women.
