A collection of photos collected and organized by Carleton College student, Edith Griffith, Class of 1896. Her album includes photos from 1892 to 1926. She collected the majority of photos while she was at Carleton College until she was graduated in 1896.

Children play a game under the supervision of library staff at the Seven Corners Branch of Minneapolis Public Library. The Seven Corners (Cedar-Riverside) area was teeming with new immigrants and the library was quite busy. This branch, at 300 Fifteenth Avenue South, was in service from 1912 to 1967.

This photograph shows the first high school in St. Peter, which was located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Fifth and Grace streets. The front of the school faced Fifth street. It was constructed in the early 1870s.
Henry Leslie Osborn and his wife Effie Osborn in their home at 1599 Hewitt Avenue. Osborn worked at Hamline from 1887 until 1932 and served as a biology professor, dean of faculty, and acting president. Effie Osborn taught piano at Hamline from 1895 until 1901.
