The aerial view shows the three-story hotel with its four-story octagonal tower and many porches, its water tower and wooded grounds, and the railroad tracks behind the hotel.
The presence of Peavey elevators in the Duluth harbor dates back to 1900. In 1930, F.H. Peavey expands the Peavey Duluth terminal with concrete silos. In 1999, the Seaway Port Authority lets contract for razing of Occident and Peavey elevators. Garfield Avenue is the main street that runs the length of Rice's Point. It is the street in the lower left corner of this photograph. Houses and businesses on Garfield are parallel to the rail yards of the Northern Pacific; Great Northern; Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha. Garfield Avenue takes you to the Interstate Bridge.

This photograph shows Albin Malmo's Meat Market in St. Peter. Items for sale can be seen through the store windows. A small boy and a tricycle can be seen in front of the store, along with two men and two women.
Alexander Probstfield sits at a roll top desk in Northern Potato Growers Sales Company located at 811 Center Ave. Moorhead, Minnesota. A large open safe and heat stove are also in the room. Alexander was the son of Randolph Probstfield, the first person of European descent to settle in Clay County.
The American Exchange National Bank staff assembled with the bank's founder Hamilton M. Peyton who is in the front row with the white side burns. Peyton was bank president from 1879-1921. The bank merged with First National Bank and renamed First and American National Bank in 1929. It became First American National Bank in 1958, First National in 1974 and Norwest in 1983. In 1998 Norwest merged with Wells Fargo and elected to take the more familiar name Wells Fargo.

A photograph of a load of logs. Containing a total of 31,400 feet. 21 feet high with an estimated weight of sled chains, and logs is 5 tons. Being pulled by four horses.
Report has the report of the treasurer with all of the company's financial information. Also included is power generation statistics for the various geographical divisions managed by NSP. The Minneapolis Division was supplied by 4 hydroelectric power plants at St. Croix Falls, Coon Rapids, St. Anthony Falls and Wisota. They were supplemented by the Riverside steam station.

The report contains a statement to the stockholders of Northern States Power Company focusing on the divisions of Sioux Falls, Grand Forks, Fargo, Minot, Galena, Stillwater, Minneapolis, St. Paul and Mankato Faribault serving Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. The report includes consolidated earnings statement, balance sheets, and lists the names of the officers and directors. A summary of electrical power plant equipment with a map of the territory served by Northern States Power and narrative descriptions of the physical properties is also included.

At the intersection of Lake Avenue and Superior Street this fire equipment collided with a streetcar. One fireman, Archie Finlayson, was killed, and the streetcar driver was charged with failure to give right of way. The two-story building in the background is the Freimuth's store under construction.

Advertisement for the International Champion Sewing Machine. The advertisement attested to the versatility and quality of the machine. It came with a 60 day free trial offer. An illustration shows all the features of the sewing machine. International Stock Food Company was owned by Marion Savage, a Minnesota-based entrepreneur for whom the town of Savage, Minnesota, was named. Savage bought record-breaking harness race horse Dan Patch to help promote his business.

Samuel Medary, the third Territorial Governor of Minnesota, signed this document appointing A.P. Buell as a Notary Public in the Territory of Minnesota on the 21st of August in 1857. The document states that Buell was a resident of Le Sueur County at the time.
