Adams traveled throughout Minnesota, taking photographs to augment his lectures. His studio was located at 3648 Lyndale Avenue South in Minneapolis.

Taken in April 1897 "Stone's Mill Dam" looking east at foot of sluiceway. The bank on opposite side is a snow drift about 18 ft. deep. Taken shortly before the dam broke.
