Culver (President-Elect, American Library Association) and Charles H. Brown (Chairman, Third Activities Committee, A.L.A.), a gallery tour of American Humor at the Milwaukee-Downer College Library, banquet speaker Howard Y. McClusky (Assistant to Vice-President in charge of Adult Education, University of Michigan) on the topic of capitalizing a community's resources, and closing session speaker Dr. Max Lerner (Professor, Dept. of Political Science, Williams College, Williamstown, Mass.).

Shove on the proposed smaller rag edition of the New York Times (Head of Order Department, University of Minnesota Library). The banquet featured a talk by John Towner Frederick and music by Minneapolis Lions Club Quartet. There was an open house hosted by the Hill Reference Library, and St. Paul Public Library.
