Below the hill and south of the Old Trondhjem Church, this one-room schoolhouse was purchased in 1957 by the the Trondhjem Lutheran Church. It was used as a church fellowship hall. It was destroyed by fire in 2007.

The American Exchange merged with First National Bank and was renamed First and American National Bank in 1929. You can see the bronze plaque with this name on the corner of the building. It became First American National Bank in 1958, First National in 1974 and Norwest in 1983. In 1998 Norwest merged with Wells Fargo and elected to take the more familiar name Wells Fargo.

The Jaysee Echo is a bi-weekly newspaper published by the students of Rochester Junior College. It includes summaries of school activities (sports, clubs, classes, etc), articles on a variety of subjects, social events, and other topics of interest to the students. It also includes advertisements from many area businesses.
The December 1957 issue includes newsworthy items of interest from the Eastern, Canisteo, Hibbing-Chisholm, Duluth and Gogebic (Ironwood, Michigan) Districts. "Ore, Iron, and Men" was a monthly magazine published by the Oliver Iron Mining Company, a subsidiary of U.S. Steel, from 1950-1963. It recorded the trends of iron mining and the steel industry, and the employees who worked in the Oliver Mine districts. It also recorded the events, activities and milestones of the employees families.
Volume 7, number 1 of the Minnesota Library Association (MLA) bulletin was published in December 1957. Content includes preparations for MLA's participation in the third annual Career Festival, Minnesota Centennial, and National Library Week. Also includes a message from Senator Hubert H. Humphrey to the MLA and an annual MLA budget.
This issue covers roadside maintenance cost-saving measures, contracting statistics for 1957, and the completion of Winona's sub-district headquarters. Minnesota Highways was the official employee newsletter of the Minnesota Department of Highways (1951-1976).

This card has been glued onto its envelope. Hilma Berglund printed this card in purple ink on cream colored card stock. A tiny (1 x .75 cm) purple woven sample is glued onto the image of the table loom that she designed. Threads from the weaving radiate from the loom to a list of west coast cities that she visited. When posting the card, Hilma chose ink and stamp colors to match the card.
