This is a photograph of Rev. Moses Newton Adams and his wife. Adams was a Presbyterian minister and missionary at Traverse des Sioux. He became the Indian Agent at the Sisseton Agency in 1871.
This is a photograph of John Otherday, whose Dakota name was Ampatutokacha. Called Good Sounding Voice when he was young, he was born in the vicinity of Swan Lake in Nicollet County about 1819.
This is a photograph of Rev. Aaron H. Kerr, a Presbyterian minister in St. Peter, who became the chaplain of Minnesota's Ninth Regiment of Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War.

This photograph shows Grace Bowden of St. Peter as a young woman. Grace and her mother both operated millinery businesses in the community for many years. Grace was a 1914 graduate of St. Peter High School.
This photograph shows Mr. Frederic A. Donahower of St. Peter, who came to the community in the 1850s. He became a banker and eventually served as the president of the First National Bank of St. Peter.
This photograph shows future Minnesota governor John A. Johnson, from St. Peter, and a number of his friends camping at Case's Point at Lake Emily in a view from about 1898. Johnson is standing at far right.

President Calvin Coolidge is in the lower center of the Photograph holding a basket of Latham raspberries which was presented to him as a token of appreciation. Photograph was taken in Superior, Wisconsin in front of the high school which served as the Executive Office in the summer of 1928, when the summer White House was located on the nearby Brule River.
