Exterior view of the Old Model School. Completed in 1906, the Old Model School served as the campus laboratory school until 1913 when Riverview opened. The Old Model School then served as the campus library until 1952 when Kiehle opened. It was demolished in 1960.
Children's library program held on the second floor of the Ticknor Building at Second Avenue and Main Street. This was the Anoka Public Library at that time.
The Irving School was located on the corner of Monroe and Second Avenue in Anoka, MN. It was built in 1866 and demolished in 1903 to make way for a new building.

Students and faculty on the steps of St. Paul's College. St. Paul's College in St. Paul Park, organized in 1889 offered both a preparatory and collegiate course. St. Paul's was organized and supported by the Northern German Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. This conference included German Methodist congregation in Minnesota plus some in Wisconsin and North Dakota. The school operated until 1917, closing under financial difficulties and the stress of being a German-speaking institution during World War I. Supporters were encouraged to shift allegiance to Hamline University.

Senior class of 1910 poses in caps and gowns on the steps of Laird Hall on the Carleton College campus. Typewritten text on back reads "Class of 1910 Oct. 9 I believe 1909. Dr. Cowling was to be inaugurated that day. We, as the senior [sic] class, wore caps and gowns for the first time that day and carried our class flower, the golden chrysanthanum [sic], Outside of the Congregational Church I think it was, after the inaugural ceremonies, we formed a double line on each side of the walk and crossed our long stemmed flowers over Dr. Cowling's head as he walked from the church."
