The cornerstone of the Spurrier Hotel was laid on August 29, 1917, and the structure which was located on the north corner of Front Street and Barclay Avenue. It opened for business and was dedicated on April 27, 1918. The cost of the hotel was $30,000.
This church stood on the east corner of Norway Avenue and Second Street South. During 1905 and 1906 plans and a pledge campaign resulted in a decision to build the. The cornerstone was laid July 9, 1907, and the first service in the newly completed church was held on January 6, 1908.

This building was erected in 1903 and housed the first bank in Pine River. Less than a year after completion, a druggist was hired to set up shop in part of the building. In 1919 the bank received a national charter becoming the First National Bank of Pine River.
